Hoda is an artist who lives and works in the Netherlands. In her art, she combines challenges, science, and Sufism to showcase both Persian and Dutch cultures. She started with oil painting but now also creates digital art. Her work features lines, sharp angles, and mathematical concepts, all expressed through a harmonious blend of colors.

Hoda began drawing when she was seven years old. Although intensely interested in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, she did not attend an art academy. She is pursuing a master's degree in chemistry and is actively studying in this field.

For her, art is a way to express her emotions. She says, "It's difficult to talk about feelings, but art helps me express them."

Since childhood, Hoda has been recognized for her artistic talent. She believes that anything can be created if you can imagine it.

Gustav Klimt inspires her and draws ideas from renowned artists like Escher and Picasso. Her paintings use simple colors, yet they perfectly complement the message she wants to convey.

''I don’t follow a particular style; I create whatever inspires me. Like an illustrated children's book, my work embraces different styles, emotions, and artistic expressions.''

Between Surrender and Freedom Artwork, From the Third State SERIES

Description

Between Surrender and Freedom Oil on acrylic on canvas, 200 × 200 cm. Inspired by the fragile tension between resistance and release, this work explores the moment when surrender becomes an act of strength. The figure rests between exhaustion and serenity, her body dissolving into space as boundaries fade. I hope viewers feel both vulnerability and quiet empowerment in the universal search for balance between control and letting go. The dripping layers echo emotional dissolution, while the dialogue between oil and acrylic mirrors the contrast of softness and structure, emotion and reason. Through this work, I seek to reveal the moment when vulnerability becomes freedom.

The following paintings from this series will be released soon as part of the same collection.
